I had a great meeting at work last Thursday. It was a team planning meeting for 2013 in which we tries to make some changed and set some goals for the office. I love my job and I love the girls I'm working with. It's been so fun and felt so great to enjoy a job for the first time in a long time. I work hard and I think I'm good at it. They all praised me for how well I'm doing and what an asset I have become, and how valuable I am, including the boss, and who doesn't like hearing that?
Today I met with my boss and as one of our girls is going on maternity leave this year, she asked me if I would like to become a licensed broker. I think it's a great opportunity and I'm really excited about it. She will order me the books to study and help me with any training or teaching I might need. She wanted to offer it to someone inside the group before hiring from outside, and she thinks I can do it. It feels really good to be valued in a professional setting. I'm excited about this opportunity, as well as a bit nervous to move from my current role, but it is all very confidence boosting for me.
