Well Colour Me Happy

A couple of weeks ago my mother-in-law took a course to learn how to do Gelish nails. The girls in this house (and who live close by) have been antsy and going crazy waiting for her product she ordered to come it so we could all get our nails done. We had a sheet of all the available colours and each of us thought long and hard before we put our little initial on our three favourite colours. We have each gone back and forth several times trying to decide before the order finally went in last weekend. It was pretty dramatic, let me tell you.
So yesterday we got the call. "Your order is in, you may come pick it up." All 12 colours and the little light to set them (and some stuff to do waxing, which she learned the same day as well). I swear you could hear the giddy giggles of excitement all over Calgary as it all came through the front door and calls were made to those who weren't already around.
Today was the day we got to use them. We all sat down at the table with our files and our buffers and our cotton balls and our polishes; each of us clinging tightly to that one colour we voted for and finally got to see in person. Mine on called Pink Smoothie, and it's a very pale flat pink, which I love even more in the jar and on my nails than I did on that little coin sized sample circle.
Here is what it looked like in the house with the expert herself, her sister, her two daughters, two daughter-in-laws, a little granddaughter, and a little niece. It was wild.
