I've always felt that Fathers' Day is a good day to recognize men in our lives. I think a person can have several father figures, and male role models. In the church I've had bishops and leaders and other men I respect who have taken good care of me when my own father can't. There are strong, kind and gentle men who I have great respect for who aren't my father.
I only have one Daddy though. There are certain things that only one man can do. I love my Daddy like I could never love anyone else. I've always had a good relationship with my Dad. him and I are a lot a like I think, or so I've been told. He's calm and gentle and quiet, but I know his strength is unmatchable. I've never seen such quiet, honourable dignity and integrity in any other person I know (except my husband). He is capable and talented and intelligent. He knows what's right, and he does it.
He is going back to school in September to become an electrician.
He loves music! He always has a song in his head and he certainly knows what he likes the sound of, and what he doesn't.
He loves his family, and works very long and hard to support them and provide for them.
He loves the church and has always served with all his might. In the bishopbric, or in primary.
He loves his savior. I know he does, because I've seen him come up with inspiring strength when it would seem that there is no where left to get it.
He's a good man, and he's one of my favourite men. I love my Daddy.
