Calgary

I love living in Calgary. It's a good city. I really wish it had a few things like my family and affordable houses, but other than that I think it's great. Eric and I have a few reliable date spots around town that are just good for a pick us up when we need to have fun, or most often just need to get out of the house.
One spot we used to love is now unfortunately closed, and we no longer speak of them and how much they have made us sad. But another spot we still like is Peter's. Lately (since Christmas) we've been in love with this flavour of milkshake that was supposed to be seasonal, but has withstood the test of time: Gingerbread. Brilliant. It tasted like the smell of a great Christmas candle. So tonight we went for one of those together, and then our very favourite spot, Crescent Road. I'm sure everyone in Calgary knows what spot I'm talking about,  but we love it. It's so nice to just look out and admire the city we call home and the beautiful lights at night. It's been a good place for us to have good chats and so far it one of my favourites.
It's sad that my very favourite city we've lived in together is Vienna, because chances are pretty good we will not live there again, at least any time soon. But Calgary comes in second, and that's good enough for me. I am grateful for Canada in general, and will always live here on a permanent basis. We enjoy such a great lifestyle here, even in our parents' basement. I just felt really happy where I am today.
