2 Years!

Eric and I have been married for two years! I can't believe it. We've known each other for 4 years.
In some ways that seems like it's just flown by, but on the other hand I can't really remember what life was like without this man.
Our dating relationship was different from most, and especially lds couples I think. We broke up about 3 times, and it took us a long time to decide to be married to each other. On the off times, I remember thinking Eric and I have some good stories and memories, and who ever I end up with I hope I get stories as good as the ones I've had with him. We did some fun things while we are dating. The first summer we met I was making plans to move back to Calgary, and he was making plans to buy a car and drive it across the country back to Calgary. This worked out well for both of us, and resulted in a cross country road trip together after we'd been dating for like a month and a half. It was so much fun. There were other things like this too, and I just always secretly oped is end up with this guy with all these memories.
Well, we did! We started dating for the last time in October 2010 and were married April 30th, 2011. Since then we've only creating even more exciting memories. We've lived in Europe and in Halifax and in his parents' basement. We've really enjoyed traveling and just sitting in our living room together watching movies.
I don't feel like I married my bet friend. I have lots of good friends and Eric was my favourite man when I married him, but we are infinitely closer to each other now than we were then. We decided recently that we are best friends now. My husband is now my best friend. I love Eric so much, and I love the relationship we have. I am grateful for the progress we made in our second year, and am so grateful to be past the trials of the first year.
We didn't do too much to celebrate tonight, we had to clean. But for lunch we went to Eric's favourite fast food restaurant that he showed to me and has become our favourite. And for dinner we went to my favourite restaurant that I showed to Eric that has become our favourite. I got flowers from my love, with a really cute little note card. That was our night. However we have gotten ourselves one big present for our anniversary and Eric's upcoming graduation together, but it's a secret. I can't wait for it!
I love you Eric!!
