Yesterday I went on a plane with Cecelia for the first time. She was amazing. I was so nervous leading up to the trip, not knowing how she would do with it, but she did such a good job. I had heard that it was good for their little ears to feed them on the way up and down. On the first flight I tried to hold her off of feeding until we go in to the air, for that reason. She was ready to eat right away, and so she squawked about that, but that was the only sound she made the whole day. She slept like an angel, and it was so handy to have a wrap that my mother-in-law made for me that was similar to a Moby wrap. Cecelia slept in it for the whole first flight and I was able to get some sleep and use my computer because I didn't have to use my hands to hold her. It was perfect. Also, if anyone is flying with an infant I would more than recommend flying with West Jet. I had the best experience flying with them. They took such good care of the two of us. They were so great with getting us set up, and helping me with my bags, and warming up her bottle. They even offered to take a picture of Cecelia and I together.
The family was more than excited to meet her when we got home. Mom and Dad picked me up on the way home from work and the kids waited anxiously at home for us to arrive. They actually had to draw numbers to see who would go first holding her - except great grandma. She got the first turn. I didn't get a picture with Emma holding Cecelia - I guess I dropped the ball on that one. Sorry Emma, but I will get it eventually. One of my best friends Megan even came to visit as well, and it was very exciting to visit all together.
