This week was a very sunny and warm one in Calgary - finally. It was time to get outside and start soaking it in. Time to get some colour on our (my) skin and sunshine in our eyeballs.
Wednesday we went to Riley Park with Megan and Ally from our prenatal group. Every week I meet with these girls I am more and more grateful to know some moms in the same stage as me and to have some people to talk to while on this baby vacation of mine.
Thursday and Friday were both spent at the lake with Grandma and the family. It was Cecelia's first time at the lake, and we loved it. The water was a bit too cold to enjoy, but the sun was great and the company was even better. I forgot her hat on the first day and she enjoyed her first ever sunkissed cheeks. I called the HealthLink phone number that evening to make sure there was nothing to worry about, and after checking all other factors she seemed just fine and so we enjoyed a rosy cheeked baby for a couple of days.
Friday morning was the Stampede Parade and Jordan and Eric had the morning off work. They both joined us at the lake for only a couple hours. I didn't even get a picture of dad and babe at the lake because Cecelia slept nearly the whole time he was there and he didn't even wear a swimsuit or go near the sand. We're going to pretend that was not Eric's first time at the lake with Cecelia.
Later in the day Laura and Jeremy joined us at the lake. That was a fun time too. We are getting more and more excited each time we see them to meet little lady Dunford who is on the way to us in September. Laura (pregnant and all) was the only one of us to get in the water.
