Porter Maxwell

Our good friends Matt and Emily had a baby this week. It is so exciting to see people around us having babies. I remember the day that Cecelia joined our family, and there is nothing in the world that day. There is nothing in the world like that first week home with a brand new baby - the exhaustion and the joy. How did you ever survive without this little one in your life?
I am just so excited for all our friends having babies, and enjoying this new adventure. Today we went to meet thier newest addition, Porter.
This was an especially exciting visit for us because it was the first brand new tiny baby we've met since Cecelia was born. On the way over I said to Eric, "I'm scared to go. What if seeing a new tiny baby makes me sad, that Cecelia's not new and tiny anymore?". I didn't though - I felt really good about where we are now with her. Watching her be the big girl and figure out this little guy was so much fun. Oh man, I sure love babies!!
