Last year I hosted a Thanksgiving dinner at our place for some friends, and I was preparing to host a Halloween party. I had my house all decorated, and was obsessed with tiny pumpkins (my house was covered in them).
This year, I am really enjoying a low key family Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving has always been my favourite holiday. I love the fall season, and my family always enjoyed this day together while I was growing up. This was our day to pick apples and pumpkins, eat a big dinner, and just spend time together - no presents to distract anyone. This year was that way - but still without the pumpkin and apple picking (I really wish I lived somewhere we could still enjoy that tradition). I am so so grateful this year for my little family - for the chance to create new holiday traditions, and to feel so much love in their company (during the holidays and always). I love our extended families as well - grandmas, and grandpas, and aunts and uncles, and greats of all those things. We love them all!
I love these two more than I even understand how to say. Our family means everything to me, and I am so grateful to have a wonderful one.
A lot can happen in a year.
