A reminder to all that you need to bring $30 to the party... we will draw one girls name and she will get all of the cash to spend on clothes for the next month. That girl will host the party next month and the process will continue.
Well pour Sarah, that is not how it went. Her house is really far outside of town and so Eric brought me out there with the intention of seeing what Tyson was upto or using their office to study for his accounting quiz. Eric and I were actually the only ones to show up.
We were worried about the party and how it would go because we don't have a lot of money right now. I talked with Sarah though and asked if we might be able to use the money for other nice things other than just clothes if we won, then I could justify spending the money each month. I was so happy that she wasn't offended and that she thought it was a good idea too, so I was really excited to go last night and get everything started and to meat the girls. I was disappointed in them for not showing up, and so I couldn't imagine what Sarah may have felt like. Only two girls called with legitimate excuses. No one else even bothered to let her know. All she was trying to do is to get some girls together, and I think her attempt was noble.
On the bright side though, Eric and I got to hang out with Tyson and Sarah all evening, and it was lovely. We haven't seen them since we got back from Austria, and they really are a great couple. It was a lot of fun. And we decided that we should start the same kind of idea as this, but with couples instead of just flaky girls. So now we have a reason, and excuse and a date to hang out with the Merrils every month. It should be a good time, and we've got lots of fun things planned to do with other couples. I think it will be a really good thing for Eric and I. I am excited about it now.
