Hello Ladies,
I'm a little better in writing than I am on video so here is what I said on camera, but a couple of other little points I forgot to say that I want to make will follow it.
The biggest joy I found at your age was learning. Maybe I didn't get the best marks in school and maybe I didn't always do my homework but I loved to learn. While you're young, try to educate yourselves. Learn as much as you can about you, about people, about important school subjects and about the gospel. When you "grow up" like me, there is nothing than can replace knowledge and faith. Those will help you to make tough decisions, help you to care for others and help you to teach others. Learn what you can about the real world and how it works and what it expects of you, because some of the things that are expected of you in high school or at your age by friends and teachers are not real life situations.
Heavenly Father has a plan for each of us, learn about it. He has a role for each individual woman to fill. Whether is happens to be a mother and grandmother, or a wife, or a working woman, or a teacher. Each of you are important to Him, even if it's hard to see that now. Learn what you can about what He expects of you, and try your darndest to make that happen.
My biggest joy at your age what to learn about something, or about how to do something and then to use that knowledge.
I hope this is what you wanted Mom and that it helped your girls as well. I hope you're all well and enjoying life. That's what you should be doing right now, so if you're not, START!
I love you all!
You are inspiring. I particularly like your notes at the end. And I love remembering your knowledge notebook in which you still learn everyday.
ReplyDeleteThank you Rachel. That feels nice to hear every once in a while. You are inspiring as well. I was inspired by your post about George Albert Smith the other day.
