So, these are some photographic highlights of this, the third month of the year 2012.
Sunday, March 4
Eric and I made dinner for the family, while his mom and dad took a break...mostly. Mom came home from a visit with a friend and helped me concoct this pink fruit salad, from whatever we could find in the cupboard, which quickly became almost a favourite.

My beautiful and delicious fruit salad |
While I was in the drug store waiting in line behind a really old woman asking a hundred questions about an ankle brace, I decided maybe I should skip it and head back so Eric didn't know I left. I come out of the store and to the car and a woman is there walking around it looking at it. She informs me that she just hit our back bumper with her van. What are the chances? I had to get her insurance information and head back to the dentist where I started to cry enormous tears at what my husband (my law abiding husband, who is full of integrity) would think of me. So I waited for what seemed like hours for him to come out, then showed him the dent and cried and cried.
This weekend we borrowed his brother's heat gun and finally got around to trying to fix it ourselves. And by us, I mean I held the gun...and fetched him a band-aid. It was fun to watch him climb down under the car and clean up my mistakes.By now he should be (and he is) very handy and cleaver with this.
Friday, March 9
This night Eric and I got a couple of things done and then he wanted to take me on a date. He had a place in mind and this time, although usually I can't, I got it out of him before we left the house. We were going to Spoon Me. I love this place. It serves frozen yogurt and then you can put your own toppings on it as you please. They weigh it at the end and charge you accordingly. Perfect if you want a little to yourself, or a sharable amount for the two of you! It's one of mine and Eric's favourite date spots.
Only, it's not there now. I was so sad. We went over to their other location to see if it was still open, and it was just as sad as this one. Long since turned into something new, with no trace of spooning. It was a tragic night, but Eric redeemed it by taking me somewhere new that he's enjoyed a time or two.
Eric bugged me a little because this is what our separate sides of the slice looked like at the end of it. His clean and straight, mine a big big mess. He said it was representative of our lives. What a man I have...
Saturday, March 10
Today was an information conference and event for a company that Eric is considering working for this summer. It was in Edmonton. I took an appointment at work in the morning (and sold a very pretty dress to a very happy girl), and then we drove up to Edmonton. We made it in time for one workshop on goal setting, then awards and a dinner and the draws for the evening. Eric won a shirt, YAY! Then we went over to Galaxy Land. The amusement park in West Edmonton Mall. I forgot my camera in the car and was very sad. There is nothing to prove how much fun we had. It was a good time though.
Then we had to drive 3 hours home though. Eric dropped me first and the couple guys who came home with us. He crawled into bed at 2:30am (which was technically 3:30am because of daylight savings time). We were tired this morning, but our little cousin Araya kept us awake during church.
Wow, that was a long winded sum-up of March so far. Hopefully the rest of it brings more good times to us, and a little more luck than we had at that draw.
