One of Those Weeks

You know those weeks? When it seems like everything is a bother; like nothing is going to get better? When every little thing seems to get to the both of you?
This week was one of those weeks. They're hard weeks to get through. It's like every time you turn around there's just one more thing to worry about and sort out. No matter how many good moments there are, the bad ones come up fast and furious and piled sky high.
This weekend we finally started to sort it all out. Bit by bit, we sorted out a couple of issues we really really needed too. At least between the hard moments, we were able to enjoy a few really good times. I had Saturday off so it was a good weekend for us to spend some time together. This is what we captured in the good moments.
FRIDAY
Started my first real game of Monopoly. I've never really played the big kid version of it. This was even the Canadian version, which was cool because I recognized and have been on a few of the properties.
Snuggled with some Valentine's chocolates and our new book. We finished The Hunger Games tonight, and immediately started the second one.
  SATURDAY
Went to the Calgary Home and Garden Show
Congratulated our really good friend Matt on his new marriage to Maranda. He's far away for school these days, so it was nice to see him again, and to meet his new wife.
Continued playing Monopoly

SUNDAY
Finished the game of Monopoly. AKA had to clean it up because the kids came over. We were pretty much done with it anyway. I was winning by so much, I felt guilty doing more.
Used the new toy form the Home and Garden Show. The Zoku, to make homemade popsicles.
I am grateful for the little things. More and more I realize that it's important to cling to those. To love and appreciate them as they come, and to look forward to them always.
