Eric and I only have a few precious days left in our apartment and in the city of Halifax. This weekend we are moving to Kentville for the rest of the summer. They seem to be having more success out in that area, so that's where we're headed.
That doesn't leave us much time for many things on our list, and it makes it difficult for the ones like Tall Ships, the Buskers and the Halifax Jazz Festival, which haven't even made it to town yet. Hopefully we'll make them happen.
Today though, we took advantage of the beautiful day and knocked two real good ones off the list.
I read somewhere (and then didn't believe it) that Halifax has the longest oceanfront boardwalk in North America. I guess it could be true, it just seems a little hard to believe. But I decided that Eric and I needed to walk the whole length of it. We did that today (except not really). We had every intention of making the whole way but we got as far as the Seaport and then we needed to back to get Eric to work on time. But showing Eric the Seaport Market is on the list as well (for this Saturday morning hopefully), so we'll walk the rest of the way then.
At one end of the Boardwalk is a lovely little place called Cows Ice Cream. Maybe you've heard of it? It's from Prince Edward Island and sells very delicious ice cream and cute tshirts. It also sells Raspberry Cordial. Delicious.
