Day 7: Girls Day Out

Hello Eric,
As you know, Luke and Haig are away right now, and Dad is working. It was just us girls home today.
This morning we all pulled together to do a deep and thorough cleaning of the house; the one we planned to do this morning before Granny was scheduled to arrive. Well, she's here now so we had an extra hand to help out. It went fairly well actually. There were hardly any fights or resistance, because...
We went to Costco after. Everyone new that as soon as the work was done, we'd get a trip to Costco, and even get hotdogs for lunch. We were all looking forward to it so much that it made us get our chores done. Then all of us, except Rachel who had to work, headed out for a day of fun errand running. Tomorrow is the day Haig goes through the temple, so we are having a big family day and luncheon after. We had to get everything ready for it today. We went from Giant Tiger to the Bulk Barn to Dollarama to Costco to Super Store, then home. All of my favourite places in one big trip. It was a good day too. There were only a few unsettled discussions, which mostly consisted of who sat where in the van, but for the most part it was a good and fun day out.
Grandma's home so we all get quarters for the gumball machines.
The Costco hotdogs made me want to come home and go on an Ikea hotdog date with you.
Then when we got home we took all the food over to the chapel and some of us stayed to prepare it all, and the youngest ones went swimming. It's so handy that my parents' new house is so close to the chapel, and so close to the pool. It's just in such a  better spot than the last one, although I do miss it.
It was such a hot day today that, when Dad got home earlier than we expected, we ALL went for the evening swim. Even Haig and Alyssa got home early and surprised us by making a trip over and dragging Victoria with them. Then Mom and Granny came down right before the swim ended and Mom got in for a few minutes. Every Friday evening they have fun night at the swim and have a bunch of competitions and games. This week was the Olympics. Emma won a silver for cannon ball, and Hannah won a gold for the ring toss. She also won bronze for overall performance (and got the crown).
After all of that though, we still weren't done at the chapel. So we went back after the swim and finished it all off. Everyone came that time, and we ended up there til way too late. We broke out into an intense game of badminton, and it was definitely dark by the time we got out of there. It was a nice day though.
I love you Eric, and I will see you tomorrow!
