I have been looking for something to fill these nights by myself, because mostly I've just been watching Netflix movies or doing laundry. Truth is I don't have many girlfriends to do something fun with, so tonight I decided I could still do something fun, by myself. The timing was perfect. I heard on the radio about a piano concert put on by Honens tonight. Admission was free, and all donations are going to rebuilding one of the badly damaged schools.
The show was lovely, although to be honest I had a hard time staying awake. That was entirely my own fault though, and not the show's. The pianist was young, or at least he seemed it. He looked like a friendly familiar character from a movie to me, but when he played the piano he commanded attention. It was a powerful performance, and I'm really glad I came.
