Colour Me Rad!

On the weekend Eric and I ran the 5K Colour Me Rad run here in Calgary (which we are pretty sure was not actually 5K, but that worked out better for me anyway). Getting there was a bit of hastle, and usualy when that happens it tends to ruin fun things for us - which is a bit sad, but so often very true. This time it did not. We had so much fun! I couldn't really run because I've been so sick this pregnancy that I haven't been able to train at all, and so I haven't been able to get comfortable running. They say that you're supposed to be able to carry on a conversation while you're working out at the beginning of pregnancy - anything more than that is too much. My husband was very kind to mostly walk with me, and to run with me through all the colour bomb stations. We really did have a great time, and I would do it again every weekend if I could.
Yes it's true, I am having a baby. No I did not register another runner for my belly - I wasn't even pregnant when I registered for this thing. I just have this weird thing where I feel awkward telling people I'm pregnant. Unless you're my sister or mom who have been bugging me every time we've talked for at least a year, it doesn't usually just casually come up in conversation. So I wanted a quick and easy way to get the message out there, without posting a + pregnancy test or a sonogram photo. So I walked up to the desk and asked for a second bib, and they gave me one. Just like that. It was easy, and it was fun. This was our first family outing.
