Around week 24 I started to get really uncomfortable and actually feel pregnant. I started to feel jabbing and poking under my ribs and in more places than I was before. I also got kicked in the bladder for the first time, and that was weird. It was a good thing I'd just gone to the bathroom. I started to get more tired, but also my sleep was interrupted more. That was a pretty exhausting week or so, but then all of a sudden it started to get better again.
I really have had a great 2nd trimester. I can honestly admit that the first one was miserable, but it had really made me appreciate what being pregnant is like now.
Since week about 25 I've felt great. I feel the baby move a lot, but I don't seem to have any of the miserable symptoms that are due to come my way, or have come the way of those I know. I have not had a sore back or feet, I've had no swelling, and I've been fairly energetic (enough to throw two parties at my house and go to another, and to pick my husband up late every night). I have no stretch marks and no dark belly line. I have been a bit more emotional - not crying and sad, but easily upset and frustrated and anxious - and I have definitely been forgetful and a bit silly.
Over all I am loving this time. I feel great and I feel like my baby is great! The holiday season is fast approaching and I am really excited to share it with my little family, in our home. The circle of life is a beautiful thing!
