The rest of Cardston

The purpose of this trip to Cardston was to see aunt Shauna and uncle Vaughn.  They came in from Vancouver for a visit, and it was really nice to spend a couple of days with them. We haven't seen them since the year we were married. They became grandparents last summer, and it was fun to introduce them to Cecelia this year. Eric was really disappointed he didn't get to go see them . Poor Eric, our working man.
Evening walks are a beautiful thing to do in Cardston.
The kids spend the majority of their time playing with the neighbour's kittens that were born earlier this summer. Ryker, who has previously been allergic to the kittens and the horses, with the help of his aunt Dalene was able to enjoy playing with them all this trip with no reactions, and a great big smile.
The big new in Cardston this week was that Grandma and Grandpa bought a new house - well actually a very old house - to have as a rental property. The neat thing: it's the house they moved from about 15 years ago - the house my mother-in-law and her siblings grew up in. The Atwood family just keeps growing and growing, and creating new memories, but I think it was a lot of fun for them go back to this home and the memories there.
And finally, no trip to Cardston is complete without a visit to the pool. This visit was on the way out of town, and was really only because they kids were begging so much to go. The weather was awful, which made for a very cold swim, but very empty pool. My poor Cecelia baby got so cold I had to take her out and change her and bundle her and sit her in her seat on the pool deck while we kept swimming. The water was really warm, but the air was not. We swam for some time, then decided to turn it in, while we all turned blue. Just as we were getting out they spotted lightning and it started to rain. Not the most fun we've had at the pool, but one of the most memorable visits.
